Norwegian Cruise Accessible Travel

Norwegian Cruise Accessible Travel
Visually impaired guests
Norwegian Cruise Line welcomes all service animals. Visually impaired guests who sail with seeing-eye dogs will be provided with a doggie box, which is changed daily by Norwegian Cruise staff, also a member of the ship s staff will tour the ship with the guest on their first day on board to help them get their bearing. Many Norwegian Cruise Line ships have Braille indicators and audio deck announcements in the lift as well as stateroom numbers in Braille and closed captioning TV.
Hearing impaired guests
Norwegian Cruise Line has a number of staterooms per ship for hearing impaired guests. These offers vibrating alarm clocks and an indicating light system alerting guests to fire alarms, doorbells, smoke detectors and telephones. Those ships that do not have these designated rooms provide TDD kits, which contain smoke detectors, door knock alerts, wake-up systems and a telephone alert.
Guests with Diabetes
Refrigerators suitable for storing insulin are available in many staterooms.
Guests using Oxygen
Guests who need oxygen or require oxygen therapy are welcome on all Norwegian Cruise line ships.
However you must supply your own oxygen. US based Special Needs at sea are the only company allowed to deliver and supply oxygen to Norwegian Cruise Line ships for use on board or on tours. Let us know at the time of booking that you ll be bringing oxygen on board, then contact Special Needs at Sea to arrange the delivery to the ship. Just a couple of points to remember- the largest tank size allowed is D; liquid oxygen is not permitted; and the number of oxygen thanks per person is limited by applicable laws and regulations.
