1. Product Promotion:

- Drive opening of new business avenues for Critical care in own territory hospitals through promotion of BU products to respective Medical fraternity in order to generate the business of the CC product portfolio
- Use detail aids to support scientific selling and Liaison with the HOD's , Purchase committee and Drug Committee doctors at the institutions for inclusion of the CC Products in the pharmacopoeia

2. Territory Sales:

- To prepare a target list of customers as per therapy profile. Understand and implement marketing strategies to medical fraternity to generate prescriptions for the cc products.
- To maintain and balance right distribution of products to the Pharmacy.

3. Market Intelligence/ Sales Reporting

-Interact with paramedical staff in hospitals to seek inputs on competitor activities, patients moving on MSD products, new products in the hospital etc. to maintain intelligence on MSD and competitor activity in the hospital
- Provide field reports in terms of FIRM, Tracker and Sales statement etc. in order to update the sales MIS

4.Customer Relationship Management:

- Organizing and conducting CME's with the user department at the institution in coordination to create and build the market for MSD products
- Manage the relationship with KOL's. Build, maintain and grow new KBL's and support CRM-Scientific activities with KOL's

Does, for example, going to the gym reduce the time spent on sedentary activities, or should one also find something else to reduce it? Answers to these questions were sought in a newly published study by the University of Jyv?skyl?'s Department of Biology of Physical Activity.</p> <p><strong>No differences between men and women</strong></p> <p>The study compared 27 Finnish men and women, adults and the aged, over two days. On the first day they performed some form of physical activity and on the second none at all. By measuring the muscle activity and heart rate it was discovered that although 30 to 150 minutes of exercise increased energy consumption, it did not decrease muscle inactivity -- that is, the time spent sitting down. There were no differences between men and women.</p> <p>In addition, the researchers discovered that the energy consumption as measured by heart rate was higher with the aged than with the younger participants. This means that the aged move in their daily lives at a relatively higher power than younger adults due to their lower maximal oxygen uptake.</p> <p><strong>Shorts provide information on muscle activity</strong></p> <p>In the study, Finnish clothing technology was used in order to measure quadricipital activity. As the body's main movement muscles, they provide essential information on our exercise habits. The results showed that the muscles are inactive about 70 per cent of the day, irrespective of whether the day included any fitness training. When the muscles are inactive for long periods, the fat metabolism, for example, can change into being disadvantageous to one's health. Dickenson states that it has been predicted that the population of English Language Learners (ELL) is going up to 40 percent of primary and secondary schools by 2030 while schools are struggling to make Adequate Yearly Progress. However, Dickenson argues that English Language Learners are not holding the school back, on the contrary, it is the ?system that is preventing this group of students from moving forward?.</p> <p>So what is the problem of the system for English Language Learners? In fact, there are specific extra funding from Stringent for districts and schools which have ELL students enrolled, but funding does not equate to quality education. For example, at one of the previous schools Dickenson worked, the teacher was instructed to use seventh grade core curriculum and relevant support to teach both seventh an eighth grade students in one class.</p> <p>Furthermore, students are labeled ELLs based on a home language survey. So if one?s paprents respond to questions with a language other than English, state law requires public schools to assess English proficiency, and the students have to test in the top two of five levels of proficiency to be enrolled in mainstream classes. Nonetheless, usually what happens to ELL students is that some of them who are really good at mathematics are limited to attend relevant levels of maths classes because of their limiting English proficiency test score. This is a common case for ELL students at schools in the U.S. Thus, Dickenson indicates that ELL students do not receive the same education as their English-only peers.</p> <p>Nonetheless, on the education for ELL students itself has some trade-offs. For instance, there are newly arrived ELLs who need support ascquiring basic interpersonal communication skills while long-term ELL students need help acquire academic literacy skills. That isolation may have prompted the evolution of new <em>Homo</em> species, including a mysterious Asian population dubbed Denisovans and possibly an unusual-looking humanlike group now identified in China. </p><p>Ice age asylums ?are critical to understanding the expansion of <em>H. sapiens</em> out of Africa, the extinction of Neandertals and Denisovans, and interbreeding between these populations,? comments anthropologist Robin Dennell of the University of Sheffield, England.</p><p>Fossils unearthed in two caves in southwestern China come from an unusual-looking line of <em>Homo sapiens</em>, or perhaps a previously unknown <em>Homo</em> species, say anthropologist Darren Curnoe of the University of New South Wales in Sydney and his colleagues. This group lived near modern-looking people between 14,300 and 11,500 years ago.</p><p>Ancient bones unearthed previously and in new digs at the Chinese caves combine features of people today with flaring cheekbones and other traits of poorly understood African <em>Homo</em> fossils from more than 100,000 years ago. Since this anatomically peculiar population survived alongside modern-looking people until almost 11,000 years ago, Curnoe suspects that the new fossils represent a separate <em>Homo</em> species that originated in Asia.</p><p>?We?re cautious about classifying these fossils, because scientists lack a satisfactory biological definition of <em>Homo sapiens</em>,? Curnoe says. He and his colleagues report the findings online March 14 in <em>PLoS ONE</em>.</p><p>Ancient people left Africa as early as 120,000 years ago, so the Chinese fossils might be those of early migrants who evolved in relative isolation for tens of thousands of years without contributing genetically to people today, Curnoe suggests.</p><p>Instead, the ancient features of the new Chinese finds might reflect interbreeding with a Stone Age, humanlike species dubbed Denisovans, remarks anthropologist Christopher Stringer of the Natural History Museum in London. Denisovans, identified from DNA taken from a single finger bone found in Siberia, interbred with humans in southeastern Asia at least 44,000 years ago (SN: 11/5/11, p. 13). Researchers regard Denisovans as close relatives of Neandertals.</p><p>In the March 16 <em>Science</em>, Stringer and evolutionary ecologist John Stewart of Bournemouth University, England, propose that the evolution of humans and earlier <em>Homo</em> species that reached Asia and Europe hinged on small populations that took refuge in ecological sanctuaries during recurring ice ages. </p><p>As in many plants and animals, climate-induced corralling of <em>Homo</em> groups into restricted habitats prompted the evolution of new species, most notably Neandertals and Denisovans, Stringer and Stewart hypothesize in their new work, which lays out a framework of what early human migration and evolution might have looked like.</p><p>Consider <em>Homo heidelbergensis</em>, a likely ancestor of Neandertals and <em>H. sapiens</em> that left Africa between 600,000 and 400,000 years ago. <em>H. heidelbergensis</em> apparently survived in livable parts of southwestern Asia during ice ages. A long-isolated <em>H. heidelbergensis</em> population evolved into Neandertals, Stringer suggests.</p><p>Neandertals interbred with <em>H. sapiens</em> around 45,000 years ago, as ancient people reached a climate-friendly part of southern Europe already populated by their evolutionary cousins, Stringer proposes. Neandertals then headed to Europe?s southwestern corner and died out by 30,000 years ago.</p><p>A still mysterious population of Asian migrants found an ice-age retreat and evolved into <em>Homo floresiensis</em>, Stringer says. This tiny, humanlike species, nicknamed hobbits, lived from around 95,000 to 17,000 years ago in southeastern Asia.</p><p>Climate fluctuations need not have regularly chased Stone Age folk into ?safe? areas, remarks anthropologist Rick Potts of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Geological evidence suggests that <em>H. sapiens</em> and its African ancestors originated during volatile periods ? lasting up to 300,000 years ? when the climate veered from extremely rainy to bone dry every 8,000 to 12,000 years, Potts says.</p><p>Faced with constantly shifting habitats, ancient people and their precursors evolved to deal with a wide range of environments, he asserts. East Asian migrants would have adapted to ice ages rather than seeking ecological shelter.</p><p>Anthropologist David Frayer of the University of Kansas in Lawrence also doubts that cold-weather refuges stoked human evolution. Stone Age groups in Asia and Europe interbred enough, even during ice ages, to maintain <em>H. sapiens</em> as a widespread species that encompassed Neandertals and the newly reported Chinese individuals, Frayer argues.</p><p>Consistent with Stringer?s argument, an ancient DNA analysis published online February 23 in <em>Molecular Biology and Evolution</em> suggests that one portion of the Neandertal population sought ice age sanctuary in Western Europe between 70,000 and 55,000 years ago before dying out and giving way to remaining Neandertals from Eastern Europe. Geneticist Love Dal?n of the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm and his colleagues found much less genetic diversity in Western European versus Eastern European Neandertals.</p><p>Such evidence may point toward refuge-driven evolution outside Africa, but much remains unknown. ?Asia is huge and we know little about ancient human populations there,? How can you be successful promoting your MLM business online?</p><p>Let me share a bit of my background.</p><p>A few years ago, when I was fresh out of college with a marketing degree, I began a career as an outside sales representative for a local industrial supply company.</p><p>I had chosen marketing and sales because I wanted to make good money, and didn?t have an overwhelming passion for a specific occupation.</p><p>My parents had been career school teachers, but I had no interest in that. I just wanted to make some decent money and not be tied to a desk all day.</p><p>Anyway, not long after I started that first job, I was approached by one of my customers about a home based business. He painted a glowing picture of opportunity, and I was convinced to attend a local meeting to learn more.</p><p>The opportunity was with a well-known consumer products company, and I was intrigued by the concept of network marketing so I signed up on the spot.</p><p>After about a month of trying to prospect people I knew, I decided this wasn?t for me. I believed in the potential of the business, but wasn?t too thrilled about going down a list of names and inviting them to a meeting. I was taught to dodge the predictable question ?what is this about? and just get them to the meeting. I wasn?t comfortable with the secrecy.</p><p>Fast forward to the early 1990?s. I was online with what we had at the time ? text based services like Compuserve and Prodigy where you could log in and have discussions on just about any topic you cared to. About this time I discovered a new network marketing business that I liked, and signed up.</p><p>The group I hooked up with had an online presence, and they were driven to take network marketing online and build a profitable business. It was just beginning to be obvious that this was going to be a huge way to reach prospects far beyond your local area and warm market, and this was before web sites and all the cool multimedia presentations we have today.</p><p>To make a long story short, I was very enthused about doing network marketing online, as it opened so many doors. Our technique was to establish a strong presence on all the discussion boards related to home business and entrepreneurship. We were allowed to put a short blurb in our signatures about our business, although at the time there wasn?t really anything to link out to.</p><p>What happened is that people looking for opportunity were watching us, and approached us privately to get details about what we were doing. We would hook up by phone and get to know each other, and build a relationship. This was attraction marketing at its finest, before that even became a buzzword.</p><p>Now, fast forward again?.as more and more people began coming online and websites and multimedia presentations became more common, a number of online marketing systems sprang up. These were good in one way, in that they consisted of a short presentation plus an opt-in, so that interested prospects could begin receiving information automatically. That?s the good part ? the sorting plus automated delivery of information on demand 24/7.</p><p>The down side ? many people who developed these systems began to teach (or strongly imply) that the system would do everything. You didn?t have to talk to people. Just get prospects to the site, let them get qualified, and begin dripping information to them at various intervals with the autoresponder.</p><p>While that sounded good in theory, it simply didn?t work out as hoped. This is a relationship business, and successful network marketing online is only possible if you look at the systems and methods as lead generating techniques. Once you get the lead, you have to take them offline and communicate.</p><p>Are you using a network marketing online system that brings in prospects for you, but waiting for them to reach out to you? Don?t. You need to reach out to them personally, by phone or whatever means you can, because people these days are really busy and distracted.</p><p>Often, your prospects have good intentions and are receptive to working with you, but life gets in the way and they just put off making the effort to reach out to you. Plus, and this is huge, many have contacted various potential sponsors and will wait to see who calls them.</p><p>Bottom line ? <em>network marketing online</em> works beautifully, IF you reach out and bring your prospects offline and establish relationships. They put him into an interesting position: either he backs the war or loses the support (of the U.S. Jewish lobby)," the well-connected <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331738046_3">Kommersant</span> newspaper quoted a Russian diplomatic source as saying.</p> <p> Speculation has been growing in recent months that Israel, with or without U.S. support, could launch some form of strike against Iranian nuclear installations.</p> <p> The P5+1 group of countries comprised of the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany accepted an offer last week from Tehran for fresh talks on its nuclear program, which the West fears is a front to create a <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331738046_4">nuclear weapon</span>.</p> <p> Iran, which denies seeking nuclear weapons, offered to bring unspecified "new initiatives" to the table.</p> <p> "The Americans are insisting that it (the meeting) is the last chance for Tehran," Kommersant said. "Such a position, the source told Kommersant, was stated by Hillary Clinton at talks with (<span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331738046_7">Russian Foreign Minister</span>) Sergei Lavrov. She also asked her Russian colleague to pass on this message to Iranian authorities with whom Washington does not have any links."</p> <p> The foreign ministry was not available for comment. But Kommersant quoted <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331738046_8">Deputy Minister Sergei Ryabkov</span> as saying that passing on such a message would be unprofessional.</p> <p> The date and the venue for the talks are yet to be agreed. The latest depictions of the beast, whose feathery adornments may have extended to other?<i>Microraptor</i>?species, suggest it looked similar to a crow, even though non-avian dinosaurs had already separated from the ancestors of modern birds by that time.</p><p>It may have looked like a crow, but researchers also think it may have?flashed its tail feathers?in the manner of a peacock.</p><p><b>Feather comparison</b></p><p>The researchers analyzed the fossil feathers using a scanning electron microscope to see melanosomes, tiny structures (about one-hundredth as wide as a human hair) that give feathers their colors. [Photos of Tiny Dino's New Feathers]</p><p>The researchers compared the arrangement of these melanosomes with those of modern birds. When melanosomes are stacked neatly, the feather looks darker; when they are more disorganized, the feather appears lighter.</p><p>From their analysis of modern birds, the researchers figured that this?<i>Microraptor?</i>fossil had?black feathers. Furthermore, the narrow stacking of the melanosomes would have given the feathers iridescence. The researchers couldn't be sure of the color of the sheen, or the effect of the iridescence on the feather color, because those factors depend on the thickness of the feather's keratin coat.</p><p>"That keratin is not preserved in the fossil, so we couldn't directly infer a particular color of iridescence," said study researcher Matthew Shawkey, an assistant professor at the University of Akron, in Ohio.</p><p>For their drawings of the dinosaur, the researchers went with a middle-of-the road estimate.</p><p><b>Shake your tail feathers</b></p><p><i>Microraptor</i>?also had?elongated tail feathers, which were much better preserved in this new specimen than in previous fossils. (The first<i>Microraptor</i>?was unearthed in 2003.) The researchers could see these feathers were narrower and longer than previous extimates.</p><p>"People had interpreted [the tail feathers] as being helpful in aerodynamics, but now we know it wasn't aerodynamic, it actually probably hindered in flight," Shawkey said. Though the researchers think this?<i>Microraptor could fly</i>, the long feathers were more likely there for decorative purposes.</p><p>The showy feathers, including the decorative ones on the tail, were likely used in courtship or other social interactions, like the tail of the peacock, the researchers say.</p><p>"Ithink this is the first example of these very early ornamental tail feathers," Shawkey said. beings seem to be almost entirely obscured."</p> <p>Williams also warned against "a feverish advertising culture in which we are persuaded to develop unreal and disproportionate desires".</p> <p>"We are all, Christians and their pastors included, in need of the discipline that purges our vision and restores to us some sense of the truth of our world, even if that can produce the ?torment' of knowing more clearly how much people suffer and how little we can do for them by our unaided labours," he said.</p> <p>Benedict said the icon which he placed inside the church and the stone cross should prompt Catholics and Anglians visiting the tombs of the "apostles and martyrs... to pray and act in favour of (Christian) unity".</p> <p>There have been tensions, however, following Benedict's move in 2009 to set up special structures in Britain and the United States to allow disgruntled conservative Anglican clergymen and faithful to join the <span class="yshortcuts" (AP) ? <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_6">Prosecutors</span> are trying to build their case of a cover-up effort by a former <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_1">Rutgers University</span> student accused of using a webcam to spy on his <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_4">roommate</span>'s <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_3">intimate encounter</span> with another man.</p><p>A detective testified Wednesday that <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_0">Dharun Ravi</span> (dah-ROON' RAH'-vee) sent out a pair of Twitter messages on Sept. 22, 2010.</p><p>One said his roommate had asked for the room again and said, "Don't you dare videochat me from 9 to 12." That was followed by a message reading: "Ignore that last tweet. Stupid drafts."</p><p>The tweets came soon after <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_5">Ravi</span>'s roommate, <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1331132291_2">Tyler Clementi</span>, committed suicide.</p><p>Prosecutors assert that Ravi deleted an earlier message "daring" followers to chat with him and replaced it with the others to try to avoid being implicated.
